Quezon City’s biggest art event returns with immersive art exhibits, performances, film, and workshops

The largest and most anticipated art event in Quezon City returns this October 2 to 5 at Araneta City’s Gateway Malls, now with a bigger list of engaging, immersive activities, and art events for everyone to enjoy.

GATEWAY ART FAIR returns for its fourth year with more fun, engaging, and immersive art activities and events for everyone to enjoy. Presented by the Gateway Gallery of the J. Amado Araneta Foundation (JAAF), the fair is envisioned to be a venue that stimulates art exchange, cultivates new patrons, and empowers local artists and their communities.

“This year’s Gateway Art Fair goes bigger and bolder through private and community collaborations, taking over the Gateway Mall activity areas at the City of Firsts,” said Diane Romero, Executive Director of JAAF. “Visitors can look forward to a bigger and more exciting art fair, with hundreds of artworks on display and available for purchase, complemented by side events designed to offer a truly multisensory experience. Best of all, admission to all activities is free, making the event accessible to everyone.”

Showcasing a multisensory experience

This year’s Gateway Art Fair goes beyond traditional exhibits with installations, performances, merchandise, and interactive programs spread across Gateway Mall 1 and 2. From October 2 to 5, large-scale art installations can be viewed and experienced firsthand by the public.

Gateway Art Fair takes art appreciation to the next level with live music, film, and theater—featuring the Quezon City Symphonic Band (October 2), PETA performances (October 3 and 4), and CCP’s Cultural Cache screenings (October 2 to 5). From October 3 to 5, audiences can dive into hands-on experiences with demos and talks on printmaking, book sculpture, coffee art, plein air painting, and photography—turning the entire fair into a creative playground.

“Through Gateway Art Fair, we invite people to experience how it shapes everyday life. We want everyone to feel art’s impact and see how it can inspire and connect us all,” Romero said.

Extending art and creativity for all

Gateway Art Fair continues to carry its theme “Live Your Art”, inspiring patrons to collect, artists to create, and the public to celebrate the art of today. This year’s edition brings 36 curated exhibits from emerging and mid-career artists, giving them an avenue to express themselves and sell their work.

Beyond showcasing the local artists, the Gateway Art Fair fuels JAAF’s art and culture programs, enriching Filipino communities and stimulate a deeper appreciation and love for the arts.

“Our goal is to make art accessible to everyone by bringing artists and their works to people from all walks of life,” Romero said. True to J. Amado Araneta’s vision of democratizing leisure, we’re creating a space where anyone can experience and enjoy art in all its forms.”

Celebrating art and legacy

This year’s Gateway Art Fair coincides with Gateway Gallery’s 10th anniversary, celebrating a decade as Araneta City’s home for the arts. The gallery has launched and nurtured countless artists and resident groups such as FilPAG, Grupo Kwadro, PASPI, and PPA, while its flagship exhibit SiningSaysay: Philippine History in Art continues to captivate audiences—now accessible anytime through the Gateway Gallery Pocket Museum app.

“We invite everyone to join this year’s Gateway Art Fair and experience the best of Filipino creativity—from paintings and sculptures to films and live performances. Support local artists by collecting their work or simply by celebrating it with us. Now in its fourth year, the fair promises a truly immersive art experience from October 2–5 at Gateway Malls 1 and 2, honoring the enduring legacy of Mrs. Judy A. Roxas through the J. Amado Araneta Foundation,” Romero concluded.
