– A learning ground!

– Definitely one for the books!

– A most exciting and memorable experience!

– An unforgettable experience!

These are JAAF Scholars’ testimonies about the recently-concluded JAAF Luzon Scholars’ Camp. Held at El Dorado City last 11-12 August 2023, the participants spent two days and formed a stronger bond with the activities, challenges, and fellowship that they did together. The Camp, with the theme Resilience Rally: Unstoppable You, is a year-ender activity for JAAF Scholars.

After a 3-year hiatus, JAAF brought together the Scholars in Luzon, after doing a successful run in Bacolod City last 5 July 2023. Here are the full testimonials of some Camp participants:

I am honored to have the opportunity to experience the Luzon Scholars’ Camping. At first, we were shy with each other, but as we introduced ourselves, shared stories and talents, we were united to overcome various challenges, and eventually learned from one another’s perspectives. We quickly formed a tight-knit bond. The moments that we shared were both enriching and fulfilling. This unforgettable experience made me realize that despite our different backgrounds, we can come together as one.

As JAAF Scholars, we will continue to inspire and help each other to grow. The new friendships formed, the knowledge that we gained, and the joy experienced throughout those two days and one night will forever hold a special place in my heart.

It was the most exciting and memorable experience I’ve ever had! Because of the camp, I gained new friends and faced my fears. I was able to try activities that were very new to me. I’m glad that we have been able to be creative and productive during the 2-day Camping.

Thank you, J. Amado Araneta Foundation for the opportunity to participate in this kind of activity! Also, a big thanks to all of the directors, admins, staff, and volunteers who worked hard to make this happen.

The main purpose of the camp was to bring each scholar’s resiliency to light again after our fight against the Covid-19 Pandemic. Indeed it was a tough astonishing journey, but here we are bouncing back amidst it all.

JAAF Luzon Scholar’s Camp is definitely one for the books! 2 chaotic days, 1 intimate and heart-warming night. From tough days and activities—to recovering and standing our ground. See you next year, Campmates!

I am beyond blessed and grateful for how the Camp served as a learning ground and social opportunity with my co-Scholars and our instructors. It has, indeed, became of help on achieving my chief goal to join in with the whole JAAF Family.
