JAAF X QC MSMEs UPCYCLING PROJECT

J. Amado Araneta Foundation works with the QC Small Business and Cooperatives Development Promotions Office (QC-SBCDPO) anew for an upcycling project. Eight entrepreneurs are joining in the canvas pouches repurposing project.

A total of 4,900 pouches will be upcycled by Crafty Sendang, hello_sunshine_ph_crochet, KB Designs , U-NIQ Creations, Jeno’s Homemade Food Trading, Run & Run Flavored Milk Drinks, Gulay ‘yan, and Helwa Batik . The targeted end products include integrating batik for new pouches, first-aid pouches, crochet products with canvas lining, sling bags, sunglasses pouches, sketches on canvas for bags and shoes, and vegan statement pouches.

Last 20 July 2023, the handover of the raw materials was done at Gateway Tower. The Quezon City entrepreneurs were present to receive the materials from JAAF Administrative Officer Ola Gealogo and Gallery Officer Helen Valenzuela. Representing QC-SBCDPO was Weng Laureta.

JAAF is excited about the new products. There’s more reason to look forward to QC-POP Bazaar on 18-20 August at the New Farmers Plaza Activity Area.
