JAAF RENEWS SUPPORT FOR CARITAS MANILA

J. Amado Araneta Foundation continues supporting Caritas Manila through its Youth Servant Leadership and Education Program (YSLEP). Now in its 7th year, JAAF is extending assistance to 33 Youth Servant Leaders from the National Capital Region.

Shown in the MOA signing last 18 October at the JAAF Office were (from left): Mr. Rowell Recinto, JAAF Trustee and Executive Committee Member, Ms. Diane Romero, JAAF Executive Director, Rev. Fr. Anton Pascual, Caritas Manila Executive Director, Ms. Glenda Carlota, JAAF Deputy Director, Ms. Maribel Palmitos, YSLEP Program Manager, and Ms. Rye Zotomayor, Caritas’ FSD Head.

YSLEP gives underprivileged youth from the country’s poorest of the poor provinces financial assistance to help them finish college or vocational technology degrees. The Program also allows these youth to undergo leadership training, spiritual formation, and community and church service opportunities aside from educational support.

JAAF, on the other hand, has been consistently putting education at the forefront of its programs. Through the years, a significant amount of the Foundation’s total program spend is allocated for education. This is

distributed to scholarship, student leader recognition, capacity building and skills training, and reading programs.
