JAAF SCHOLARS DO COMPANY IMMERSION
ACI, Inc. hosted an immersion activity for select graduating scholars of the J. Amado Araneta Foundation last 17 to 21 July 2023, Titled iLEAD or Immersion and Learning Enablement for Achievers’ Development, the Program included actual field experiences, expert collaboration, workshops, and peer connections that allowed Scholars to deepen their understanding, broaden your perspectives, and apply your knowledge in real-world settings. It equipped the Scholars with skills to thrive in a changing world and allows them to create a real business impact in the company.
Graduating this September, Cyra Mae Colangoy testified that during this immersion, she also realized that it’s not only the hard skills that matter but also the soft skills. “Soft skills, such as communication, adaptability, and teamwork, are equally important in the professional world. These skills enable individuals to effectively interact with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders, fostering positive relationships and enhancing overall productivity. I think that mastering soft skills allows you to excel in your professional career. By honing your soft skills, you become a well-rounded professional who is not only knowledgeable but also capable of building strong connections and driving meaningful results.”
Scholar JD Justine Tormis shared her experience with iLEAD. “Delving into skills, the program provided generous guidance and support to develop both my career-fit and transferable skills—which I see are crucial to be future-ready. They allowed me to interact with employees and even visitors which built on my confidence, communication, and people relations. Along with my fellow ‘immersees,’ I was able to participate in a company event that jump-started my professional networking. I was also given a chance to take part in their actual work tasks which improved my ability to be a team player as well as an independent decision-maker. Certainly the highlight of this all, they empowered me to engage in enlightening conversations with the management as though I were a part of their ACI family!
